Like most counties in the area, the Clinton County commissioners are keeping a close watch on the budget as they go into the second half of the fiscal year. One bright spot is an increase in sales tax revenue.

Two arrested on attempted theft charges
Michael E. Hoskins, 56, of Kansas City, and Donald W. Pointer, 53, of Grandview, have both been charged with attempted theft of property more than $500, but less than $25,000, a Class D felony, in connection to an incident in Cameron on Tuesday evening.
