Covid-19 Update from the Mayor 4-17-20
CURRENT UPDATE** April 17, 2020
To: The Residents of the City of Cameron
We have been adjusting to this evolving COVID-19 pandemic for several weeks now. We understand that this is a difficult time but urge everyone to continue to stay at home unless it’s absolutely necessary to leave for essential needs. We know that this is a lot to ask for but it is a necessary step to ensure the continued health and safety of our community.
The City has been receiving numerous calls about how long it will be before non-essential businesses can open. Since the “Stay at Home Missouri” Order by the Governor has been extended to May 3rd, that generally would be the answer we would give at this time. But please keep watching my updates as this may change.
Another question that has been asked is about real estate showings. The directives that are still in place are no more than 10 people at any one place, maintaining a 6-foot distance and stay at home whenever possible. Therefore, the City is recommending that perspective buyers and sellers do not go into occupied residences and that to the maximum extent possible, view the inside of property remotely.
Once again, thank you for your cooperation and please contact us at City Hall if you have any questions or concerns (816) 632-2177.
