Covid-19 Update from the Mayor 4-20-2020
To: The Residents of the City of Cameron
The rates of additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 have begun to stabilize and even decline in some areas. This is due to adherence to the guidelines set forth by the CDC, the State of Missouri, the County Health Departments and the City of Cameron. If these statistics continue to stabilize and decline for a period of time, we may be able to begin the process of lifting restrictions in hopes to getting back to a less hindered lifestyle. We are not there yet and must be diligent in maintaining the practices we have put in place but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
To that end, please continue to shelter in place as much as possible. Avoid gatherings of 10 or more people, maintain at least six feet of distance between yourself and others and, if you’re able, wear a mask when going to a public location to prevent any unintended spread of disease.
The Cameron City Council will meet this evening, again by videoconference. If you’d like to observe the meeting you may join by going to Zoom.com and entering meeting ID 831 4913 2945, If you have the Zoom app on your smartphone you may go to https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83149132945 or you may dial in by phone at (646) 876-9923 or (253) 215-8782 and use Meeting ID: 831 4913 2945.
