COVID-19 Update from the Mayor (4/8/20)
The City plans to keep citizens informed of new developments surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. Citizens are being encouraged to follow the City website and Facebook page for daily updates.
To: The Residents of the City of Cameron
Ordinance 6133 has been enacted which declared an emergency and set out guidelines to be followed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These guidelines mirrored the guidelines set forth by the County, State and Center for Disease Control. Additionally, the City enacted Order 20-01 which sets some additional guidelines for individuals and businesses. The details of both the Ordinance and the Order can be found on the City’s website (www.cameronmo.com).
As Mayor, I would like to sincerely thank the citizens and businesses of Cameron for all their efforts in following these guidelines and helping to make our community as safe as possible. No additional restrictions are being passed at this time. I encourage our citizens and businesses to find creative ways to keep each other safe and stay healthy and active during this isolation period. Please call City Hall if you have questions or concerns (816) 632-2177.
I would also remind you that City Hall and the Police Department lobbies remain closed but the drive-thru window at City Hall is open for business during normal business hours. The Police Department can be contacted through their non-emergency number at 816-632-6521 or 9-1-1 for emergencies. For after-hour utility emergencies, please contact the Water Plant at 816-632-2844.
