Covid-19 Update from the Mayor 5-1-20

The City plans to keep citizens informed of new developments surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. Citizens are being encouraged to follow the City website and Facebook page for daily updates.

**CURRENT UPDATE**     May 1, 2020

To: The Residents of the City of Cameron

With yesterday’s release of Order 20-03, many of the businesses in Cameron which were previously closed have been given guidance to reopen on Monday, May 4th.  Cameron’s Order 20-03, which lists the details for this initial phase of recovery, can be found on the City’s website and Facebook pages.  Also included there are Clinton County Health Department’s Order 20-02 and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service’s Order which was issued on April 27th, both these Orders also apply to the City of Cameron.

The Cameron Library has announced that they will be bringing staff back into the Library on May 18th to begin preparing the Library for service.  At that time, they will be taking phone orders for books and other library items.  The Library will begin curbside service on May 26th and will be operating Monday through Friday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.  At this time, the Library is tentatively set to open to the public on June 15th.

The lobbies at City Hall and the Cameron Police Department will remain closed for the time being.  Citizens may be allowed entrance by appointment only.  For now, all business at City Hall will be conducted through the drive-thru on the north side of the building or by phone, fax or email.
