New performing arts center, gymnasium, FFA renovations part of 12 million building plans

The Cameron Board of Education will host a special meeting to discuss two, $12 million plans creating a new gymnasium, performing arts center and a new room for the Cameron FFA.

One plan announced by the district would renovate the current FFA building, convert the current high school gymnasium into a performing arts center and build the new gymnasium in a space currently used as a parking lot west of the Cameron Veterans Memorial while the other would build a new performing arts center in place of the new gymnasium.
