Seven CHS Students Selected to Perform with All-District Choir
Eleven Cameron High School students traveled to Missouri Western State University on Saturday, September 15, to audition for the Northwest Missouri Choral Directors' Association All-District Choir. Auditions consisted of a brief, classical-style solo and sight-reading in front of a panel of adjudicators from across the state. Students auditioned from area schools such as Platte County, Kearney, St. Joseph schools, Savannah, Maryville, Chillicothe, Trenton, Carrollton and others.
Out of 359 auditioning students, 7 CHS students were selected to the 184-member honor ensemble.
Brett Henry (tenor) and Cade Kearns (tenor) were first-time honorees, as well as second-time members Jake Moore (bass), Eli Robinson (bass) and David Beasley (tenor). Aubrey Brown (alto) and Tyler Anderson (tenor) were selected for the third consecutive year. These students will travel to Platte County High School on Saturday, October 27, to perform with the ensemble. There the junior and senior students will have the opportunity to audition for the 2019 MCDA All-State Choir."
