Dragons stifle Golden Eagles

The Cameron Dragons scored the last eight points of the game and defeated Bishop LeBlond, 37-29, in the seventh place game of the Cameron Boys Invitational Tournament Friday night.

Cameron held a 29-23 lead going into the fourth quarter and the Golden Eagles rallied to tie the game at 29-29 with about four minutes to play.

CHS then made six free throws and got a field goal from Parker McGinnis while holding Bishop LeBlond scoreless the rest of the way.

Andrew Pratt was the scoring leader for the Dragons with 12 points. Kyler Hill added 11. Sam Morrison had six points and Nate Triplett and McGinnis finished with four points each.

Sam Schanze led Bishop LeBlond with nine points.

Next up for the Dragons is a trip to St. Joseph on Tuesday to take on Benton in an MEC contest.
