A Brave Ukrainian Woman Advises a Russian Soldier: ‘Put Sunflower Seeds in Your Pocket So That They Flourish When You Die.’

It is being lauded as bravery on the part of a Ukrainian woman when she confronted an armed Russian soldier and handed him sunflower seeds, in the hope that they would blossom when he died.

During Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Thursday, with tanks pouring across the border and air attacks striking key cities, a woman was seen on tape expressing her fury. Ukrainian officials claim that they sustained 137 casualties on the first day of the conflict.

In the footage, the lady can be seen approaching the troops and asking them a question “To which a soldier on the street replies, “We’re doing exercises right now. Who are you?” Please go in this direction.”

After being asked if they were Russians, she responded with: “What the f*** are you doing here?” I inquire.

As the troops attempted to de-escalate the situation, the irate lady yelled: “The fact is, you’re occupants, and you’re fascists! Just what are you doing on our property with all of this weaponry, I ask you?

Then she instructed everyone to “take these seeds and place them in your pockets so that at the very least sunflowers will sprout when you all lie down here.”
