A Car Strikes a Group of People in Oldbury, Killing Two People

After a car hit a group of people in Oldbury, killing two teenagers, a man was taken into custody. Around 23:30 GMT on Sunday night, a blue Nissan Skyline hit several people on the A457 Birmingham Road near Crystal Drive.

A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were found dead at the scene. Two more people in the hospital are in very bad shape. A 54-year-old man was arrested on charges that he killed someone by driving too fast.

He is still being held by the police.

West Midlands Police’s severe collision investigation squad’s Det Sgt. Paul Hughes says that a large crowd was in the area at the time and would have seen what happened.

“If they haven’t already, I would ask them to get in touch with me,” he said. He said that he felt bad for all of the affected families and that he was glad that they were getting help from skilled liaison staff.
