A Jogging car thief is unable to outrun the cops during a furious chase in Los Angeles

Authorities stated that on Friday, they caught a man after a wild chase through Los Angeles and Long Beach that lasted almost an hour.

A little after noon, the Harbor Division of the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the chase. Just before 12:24 p.m., Sky5 found the car moving through Long Beach.

The driver of a gray hatchback was going through the area without paying attention. They were often going on the wrong side of the road and going what looked like very fast speeds.

Around 12:30 p.m., the suspect drove off the Pacific Coast Highway and onto Long Beach’s northbound Interstate 710. He then switched to 405 south. The driver was acting crazy on the freeways, cutting people off and sometimes driving on the side.

Around 12:37 p.m., the driver got off the 405 Freeway and drove back to Long Beach, but this time they stayed on the edges of the road to avoid traffic.

Around 12:40 p.m., a person who looked like a woman got out of the car through the front passenger door in the middle of a Long Beach crossing. The woman held the door open for about a minute before getting out of the moving car. She didn’t seem hurt.

After the person got out, the driver kept going. He finally drove into Lakewood and then Cerritos, often crossing the road on the wrong side at speeds over 60 miles per hour to get away from police who were following him.

Around 12:50 p.m., the man drove his car into a cul de sac where there was no way to get out. He got out of the hatchback and ran through a field of grass while wearing blue pants, a white shirt, and a green baseball cap. This started a foot chase with the cops.

After a few minutes, officers finally caught the man and took him into arrest. He was clearly out of breath.

There were no new details made public right away. During the chase, it looked like no innocent witnesses were hurt.
