Delaware's Deadline to Claim $300 Tax Rebates is in Eight Days

Residents of Delaware have just over a week to apply for the latest round of relief cheques valued up to $300.

So far, the state has awarded over 782,000 relief refunds, each with a direct payment of $300 for each adult Delaware resident, but many more residents are eligible, according to state officials.

Gov. John Carney (D) signed legislation establishing the 2022 Delaware Relief Rebate Program in April, with an estimated $230 million return to taxpayers at the time.

In addition, online candidates must supply legitimate Delaware residential mailing addresses, Social Security numbers, and active driver’s licenses or identification cards issued by December 31, 2021.

“If you’ve already been sent a check, you can contact our office and we can work with you to verify your identification and get the check forwarded to you, or you can pick it up in our offices,” Delaware Secretary of Finance Rick Geisenberger said.
