Farm Share, one of Florida’s most well-known food NGOs and the state’s biggest independent food bank, is teaming up with the National Association of Letter Carriers for their annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive.
On Saturday, May 14, 2022, the nation’s largest food distribution event will take place. Stamp Out Hunger is a collaborative initiative between the NALC and food banks around the country to combat food insecurity and provide the public with a way to get engaged at home.
After a two-year break owing to the pandemic, the annual “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive is back. The NALC has picked Farm Share as its collaborating food bank in Florida, as it has in previous years.
Farm Share will support Florida’s low-income families with the funds raised around the state.
Local area USPS Letter Carriers will pick up the contribution bags and guarantee they are delivered to Farm Share for distribution.
Inflation has a long-term impact on Florida’s hardworking households. After paying for gas to get to work, rent or mortgage payments, insurance for their cars and houses, utilities for their homes, and household staples like toiletries and hygiene products, families of four with a household income of $60K to $70K are currently struggling to pay bills and feed their children.
During these periods, the Stamp Out Hunger food drive will assist over 3.6 million Floridians.

Stop the Hunger
The Florida Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive brings together the National Association of Letter Carriers and Farm Share. On Saturday, May 14, Floridians are requested to place a shopping bag full of nonperishable food outside their mailboxes.
In the state of Florida, Farm Share is the only recognized partner food bank for the Stamp Out Hunger food drive.
