Missouri Residents Will Receive a $500 Return as a Stimulus!

Missouri residents might receive checks in the amount of $500 per person under a new stimulus tax rebate package supported by the state’s Senate.

The goal is to assist residents in coping with the increased costs of living as a result of inflation.

While the measure appears to have gained support thus far, a vote by the House of Representatives and Governor Mike Parson is still required.

Who is eligible for a refund under the stimulus package?

Individuals earning less than $150,000 per year and married couples earning less than $300,000 per year are eligible.

Individuals will receive payments in the amount of $500, while married couples will receive payments in the amount of $1,000.

Refunds may be prorated in order to keep the total amount under the $500 million ceiling.

The House of Representatives has a proposal that is similar, except that there are no income limits and that there is a $1 billion dollar cap before the payments are prorated.

Residents must have paid their taxes in order to be eligible.
