Russia’s Ally Kim Jong-un Demands Enhanced North Korean Weapons Output

This week, as per state media reports, Kim Jong-un visited multiple significant North Korean arms factories, which included facilities involved in producing engines for strategic cruise missiles. During the inspections, he emphasized the need for heightened weapons manufacturing.

This factory inspection lasted three days and occurred shortly after the dictator participated in a major military parade.

According to the Korean Central News Agency, Kim Jong-un visited a factory manufacturing engines used in armed unmanned aerial vehicles. Additionally, he inspected the production lines responsible for creating shells utilized in super-large calibre multiple rocket launchers and transporter erector launchers.

Furthermore, Kim highlighted the modernization of small arms as the most crucial and urgent aspect of preparing for war, given the changing nature of conflicts.

These inspections coincided with South Korea and the US preparing for significant joint military drills this month. North Korea perceives such exercises as potential invasions and has repeatedly threatened overwhelming action in response.

Recently, North Korea organized a large defense expo, where Kim personally guided the visiting Russian defense minister through an extensive exhibition showcasing the country’s newest and most advanced weaponry, which included ballistic missiles and spy drones.
