To file a claim, tax returns for 2021 must be submitted. Those with low or no income frequently do not file tax returns under normal circumstances. Individuals under the age of 65 who live in the country and earn no more than USD 12550 in 2021 are not required to file income tax returns, so they choose not to.

The amount of the earned income tax credit has been increased for 2021. The American Rescue Plan was intended to assist low-wage workers. Prior to this change, workers between the ages of 24 and 64 who did not have children received USD 538.
However, the stimulus package was increased to USD 1502. Those who have not yet filed their 2021 tax returns must first obtain their 2021 tax statements in order to receive the stimulus reimbursements.
