The UBI programme in Chicago will pay residents $500 each month.

The Chicago Resilient Communities Pilot, a UBI programme that will launch in Chicago, is one of the country’s largest.

For a year, 5,000 low-income families might receive payments totalling $500 each month.

Residents must meet certain criteria in order to participate in the lottery.

You must live in Chicago and be 18 years old, or you must place an order while demonstrating that you were financially harmed by COVID-19.

To qualify, you must meet certain criteria.

You must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Experiencing housing insecurity
  • Employment losses
  • Previous federal stimulus checks were not included.

You may be eligible if you get food stamps or SSI.

The deadline for applications is May 9, 2022.
